Second Editing of Photographs

I have chosen the images from my second photoshoot which I would like to use in my music magazine.

Staring Image:

First Edit:
I am half way through editing this image, I have changed the background and elements of the hair. I would like to use this image on my contents page or double page spread as the model is looking closer into the camera, creating a close mid shot.

First Edit:

I have started to edit this image; as I would like to use this for my front cover, but as you can see I have not finished as the shadow behind the arms has not been removed. However, I have manipulated the hair, skin and aspects of the background to make the image clearer and more acceptable for a magazine cover. I have also copied a pattern from the models outfit onto her thumb nails, so it looks as if she has a pattern nail varnish to match her outfit. I have used tools such as, the clone, healing and red eye tool.

Final Edit:

After editing both of these images, one of them will appear on my front cover. I have edited two pictures to give myself a choice as to which would suit the page better, with the font etc.

Second Photoshoot

For my second photoshoot I have used a second model with a different look to my first model. I have been looking at images of Cher Lloyd to influence my own work, with aspects such as the make up and hair. These are a selection of the photo's I have taken:

After looking at these photographs I have decided to edit the better ones and use them in my magazine. This model has a style and attitude that I would like to portray in my magazine, and these photographs will hopefully look presentable along side my first shoot with the first model.

Second Model Research

I have decided to use a second model for the contents page of my magazine. I have chosen to use a slim girl with red/brown hair. She is a few years younger than my first model, however the magazine is about upcoming music artists and many artists today are young. Such as, Willow Smith and Justin Bieber. I would like to style this model around Cher Lloyd or something along those lines, with reference to her hair and make up aspects. Cher is a fairly new young pop artist and I feel this image would fit well within my music magazine.

Editing in Photoshop

I will now go on and develop my first set of photographs, deciding which ones I would like to use and manipulated them to look more professional and to see whether or not they are suitable for my music magazine cover.

This is my first attempt at photoshopping my images:

I have edited the background, forehead, lips and hair of this photograph. The lips do not look real enough, I will edit this image again and show the outcome. I wanted the model to have glitter combined in her make up to add to the rough kind of style, but this attempt wasn't very good. The gold glitter and red outfit kind of clash. In my next photoshoot with this model I will use specific clothing and specific make up colours in order to complete the look I wanted in the first place.

Second Edited Photograph:
I have chosen this photograph because I like the models pose, however looking closer at the image there are a lot of changes that needed to be made. I have edited the forehead to get rid the shine and baby hair, with the 'Clone Tool', although I don't think it looks very good. I need to carry on and edit around the eyes.

I have put a red square around the part of the image which I have photoshopped using the 'Clone Tool' which helps to reduce blemishes and unwanted shine from the image. I'm not sure whether I like this or not but it is definatley an improvement in comparison to the other eye, which is visible in this image. It looks dirty from excess make-up, which I need to edit.
